Jon arrived in Asheville in 1989 to attend Warren Wilson College and over two decades, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the local real estate and finance landscape. As the Principal Broker and Owner of Sarver Realty Group, founded in 2005, Jon built a boutique brokerage centered on integrity, tailored client service, and deep market insight, directly brokering over $100MM in commercial and residential transactions throughout his career.

Expanding his footprint beyond traditional brokerage, Jon has taken an active role in historic preservation and urban renewal. He spearheaded the assembly and acquisition of a key portfolio of historic buildings, focusing on thoughtful adaptive reuse that preserves the authentic architectural character of traditional Asheville.

As a Co-Founder of ALFIE, Jon leverages his extensive experience in real estate acquisition, valuation, and market analysis to structure flexible capital solutions for regional builders, developers, and investors. His deep NC roots and hands-on understanding of real estate fundamentals enable the fund to deploy capital efficiently while maintaining strong risk-management discipline.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Jon remains an active member of the local community. He is an avid cyclist and runner who regularly takes advantage of WNC’s mountain terrain as well as spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their three adult children.

A native North Carolinian and Asheville resident since 1995, Kim brings a unique blend of financial precision, operational management, and creative problem-solving to her role as CFO at ALFIE.

With degrees from UNC Greensboro and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (for a stint in Pastry Arts), Kim’s career path has included a decade of managing an Asheville real estate firm, directing operations at a premier local country club, and extensive work in an Asheville accounting firm. This background has equipped her with deep roots in the real estate landscape and a strong foundation in high-level financial operations. At ALFIE, Kim leverages this diverse expertise to navigate complex fiscal strategies in a very dynamic private lending environment.

Outside the office, Kim values spending quality time with family and friends, listening to and attending live music of nearly any genre, creating amazing baked creations, and enjoying the vibrant mountain community she’s called home for over three decades.

Craig is a native of Philadelphia, PA, and a graduate of La Salle University. He moved to Asheville in 2000 following a career as a casino marketing executive with Harrah’s Entertainment. A seasoned business operator and sales professional, he spent years managing and consulting within the hospitality industry before transitioning into real estate investments and finance.

In his role as a Business Development and Investor Relations Specialist, Craig leads the expansion of ALFIE’s footprint across Western North Carolina, the Research Triangle, and Upstate South Carolina in both investor recruitment and oversight of loan origination.

Outside of work, Craig is the proud father of two children, Kayla and Eric, and can usually be found mountain biking and hiking the trails of Western North Carolina.

Born in New York on Long Island. Karl lived there for 28 years before moving to Asheville in 2020. He earned his bachelor’s in accounting and his master’s in taxation both from SUNY Old Westbury. Karl worked in public accounting for 8 years before joining ALFIE–6 in New York and 2 in Asheville. He received his CPA license in 2018. Outside of work Karl is a board and video game nerd, enjoys spending time with his partner Savannah and amateur hiking with his dog, Bean.

An Asheville resident of over 30 years, Elisabeth began a real estate career in property management, helping build a foundation for what would eventually become a key leadership role at ALFIE. Her efforts keep the business development team progressing as we expand into new markets while continuing to rapidly shape our origination and underwriting policies helping to maintain the service to which our borrowers and investors have become accustomed.

In addition to coordinating the sales and marketing aspects of our business, Elisabeth’s role encompasses Human Resources for the operation, acting as the link to overall business strategies.

When not working, Elisabeth will be found spending time with her husband and three children, tending to her home garden oasis, and exploring and supporting Asheville’s culinary and music scenes.
